Polije Conducts Strategic Visit to Futura Energi Indonesia for the Development of the Structured Internship RPV
Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) conducted an official visit to Futura Energi Indonesia in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, to finalize the development of the Structured Internship Rencana Pembelajaran Vokasi (RPV). The activity was initiated and facilitated by Swisscontact through the Skills for Competitiveness (SS4C) program, demonstrating continued collaborative efforts to strengthen industry-based vocational education.
The visit aimed to align Polije’s internship curriculum with real industrial practices at Futura Energi Indonesia, one of the country’s leading companies in energy innovation and engineering solutions. Discussions focused on refining technical competencies, workplace learning scenarios, and assessment mechanisms required for students participating in structured internship programs.
Representing SS4C during the meeting was Senior Program Officer Benaya Jaya, who ensured the alignment of the internship design with SS4C’s national framework for improving vocational institutions’ industry engagement. SS4C’s involvement reflects their commitment to bridging the gap between education and industry to enhance graduate employability.
From Polije, the meeting was attended by Ir. M. Nuruddin, S.T., M.Si., Head of the Department of Engineering, who emphasized the importance of ensuring that the RPV is not only academically sound but also directly relevant to current industrial needs. He noted that industry input is crucial in shaping competencies that prepare students for real engineering challenges.
During the discussions, Futura Energi Indonesia provided detailed insights into their operational structure, workflow processes, and skill requirements across various engineering divisions. The company expressed strong support for structured internship programs as a way to develop future talent and strengthen partnerships with vocational institutions.
Both parties also reviewed potential areas for long-term collaboration, including research-based internships, joint curriculum improvement, and opportunities for industrial mentoring. These initiatives are expected to further enhance the quality of Polije’s engineering education and ensure alignment with technological advancements in the energy sector.
SS4C highlighted that the visit represents a model of best practice in establishing strong industry linkages, as it integrates academic planning with real-world operational perspectives. The program reaffirmed its commitment to assisting Polije in strengthening industry-responsive vocational programs.
The outcomes of the visit will be consolidated into the final version of the Structured Internship RPV, which will serve as a guide for implementation in upcoming academic periods. Polije expressed optimism that this collaboration will contribute to producing highly competent graduates who are ready to contribute to Indonesia’s industrial and energy development.
