JEMBER – Ten students from the Diploma 3 Animal Production Study Program at Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) are participating in a student exchange program at JSAHVC in China. They will undertake the program for one semester during their third semester.

The students are accompanied by Polije lecturer Dr. drh. Aan Awaludin, M.Sc. Upon arriving at JSAHVC, they participated in an orientation session and campus tour.

The students also took part in cultural exchange activities. They shared their traditions and cultural practices with students from China.

The program remains connected to their studies at Polije. The two institutions will align the courses and academic credits completed by the students at JSAHVC with their studies at Polije.

Nadiva Kafka, one of the participants, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to study in China. She said the program provided valuable experience and enriched her portfolio.

“I am very grateful to participate in this student exchange program. Studying abroad provides valuable experience. I also have the opportunity to experience a new academic environment and learn about a different culture,” Nadiva said.

The accompanying lecturer, Dr. drh. Aan Awaludin, M.Sc., said the program broadens students’ experiences. It also helps them develop adaptability and cross-cultural communication skills.

“Students gain more than academic experience. They also learn to adapt, understand different cultures, and build international networks,” Aan said.

Rizki Amalia Nurfitriani, S.Pt., M.Si., Coordinator of the Diploma 3 Animal Production Study Program, said the program broadens students’ perspectives. She hopes students will bring their experiences back to Polije.

“This program broadens students’ perspectives in animal science, communication, adaptation, and culture. We hope they make the most of this opportunity,” Rizki said.

The one-semester program provides students with academic and cultural experiences in an international environment. The experience also serves as valuable preparation for developing their competencies and entering the workforce.
