SURABAYA – Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) received a Zona Kuliner Halal, Aman, dan Sehat (Zona KHAS) award through Catleya Cafeteria. The cafeteria is managed by the Polije Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP).

Polije attended the 2026 East Java Regional Sharia Economic Festival at Grand City Surabaya on September 27, 2026. Polije participated in the event at the invitation of the Governor of East Java.

During the event, Polije received an award for its management of Catleya Cafeteria. The award also recognized the efforts of DWP Polije and Bank Indonesia to improve food management standards.

Polije Director Saiful Anwar, S.TP., M.P., said the collaboration promotes food safety and traceability. The process also covers food preparation and serving.

“This award recognizes the efforts of DWP Polije and Bank Indonesia to ensure food safety and traceability, from the ingredients used and food processing to the serving stage,” Saiful said.

Furthermore, Saiful hopes Catleya Cafeteria will continue to develop its culinary management within the campus environment. The cafeteria can therefore become an example of implementing halal, safe, and healthy food principles.

“We hope Catleya Cafeteria can become a pioneer of a healthy, safe, and halal culinary ecosystem at Polije’s Main Campus,” he said.

The award also marked a special moment for Polije ahead of its 38th Anniversary. The achievement further strengthens the institution’s commitment to creating a healthy and comfortable campus environment.

Through Catleya Cafeteria, Polije continues to promote food management that considers halal principles, safety, health, and traceability. These efforts help create a campus culinary environment that better supports the needs of the academic community.
