Bond Lite Empowers Bondowoso’s Local Potential Through Innovation and Digital Media
Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) Campus 2 Bondowoso has launched the Bond Lite program, an initiative designed to empower local potential through product innovation, branding development, and the strategic use of digital media. The program aims to strengthen the creative economy in Bondowoso by equipping young people with the skills needed to promote local products and businesses in the digital era.
Bond Lite was initiated as a creator-preneur program that focuses on transforming local resources into competitive products with strong market appeal. By combining innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital technology, the program encourages participants to create sustainable business opportunities while preserving and promoting regional identity.
According to Lukman Hakim, Head of Polije Campus 2 Bondowoso, the program was designed to develop a generation that is creative, innovative, and adaptive to technological advancements. Through various training activities and mentoring sessions, participants are encouraged to build entrepreneurial mindsets and explore new ways to increase the value of local products.
One of the key components of Bond Lite is branding enhancement. Participants learn how to create compelling product identities, develop marketing strategies, and communicate their brand stories effectively. These skills are essential for helping local businesses compete in increasingly competitive national and digital markets.
The program also emphasizes the importance of digital media as a tool for economic development. Through social media platforms and digital marketing techniques, local entrepreneurs can reach broader audiences, strengthen customer engagement, and increase the visibility of Bondowoso’s unique products and cultural assets.
To enrich participants’ learning experiences, Bond Lite invited successful entrepreneurs and business leaders from various cities to share their expertise. The speakers provided practical insights into business management, marketing strategies, and methods for increasing sales performance in today’s digital economy.
The initiative has attracted hundreds of students from the 2025 intake as well as participants from 15 secondary schools across Bondowoso. In addition to gaining entrepreneurial knowledge, participants were offered opportunities to engage directly with industry through internships and workplace learning programs provided by the program’s partner companies.
Through Bond Lite, Polije reaffirms its commitment to community empowerment and regional development. By integrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital media, the program seeks to strengthen the competitiveness of local products, expand economic opportunities for young people, and position Bondowoso as a growing center of creative and digital-based economic activity.
