Four POLIJE Informatics Management Students Arrive in China to Begin Joint Degree Program
Four students from the Diploma 3 Informatics Management (MIF) Study Program at Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) have arrived in China to begin their Joint Degree Program at Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology.
Their arrival marks an important milestone in POLIJE’s international academic mobility program, providing the students with opportunities to gain valuable academic and cultural experiences abroad.
The four students departed from Indonesia on September 9, 2026, following their participation in the Departure Ceremony held by POLIJE on September 7, 2026. The ceremony served as an official send-off and provided the students with encouragement and preparation before beginning their international study program.
Upon arriving in China, the students completed their initial preparations and are now ready to begin their academic activities at Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology. They will participate in the academic program under the Joint Degree Program established between POLIJE and its Chinese partner institution.
The program provides students with an opportunity to experience a different higher education environment and broaden their academic perspectives. During their study period, they are expected to strengthen their knowledge and skills in Informatics Management while gaining exposure to international approaches to education, technology, and professional development.
In addition to academic learning, the students will have opportunities to experience Chinese culture and interact with students and members of the academic community from diverse backgrounds. This experience is expected to strengthen their communication skills, independence, adaptability, and intercultural competence.
Their participation in the Joint Degree Program also reflects POLIJE’s continued commitment to internationalization and its efforts to provide students with global academic exposure. International mobility programs such as this play an important role in preparing graduates with competencies relevant to an increasingly interconnected global workforce.
The students’ arrival in China also strengthens the ongoing academic cooperation between POLIJE and Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology. The partnership is expected to create further opportunities for academic exchange, student mobility, institutional collaboration, and the development of future international programs.
With their arrival in China, the four MIF students are ready to begin their academic journey and make the most of the Joint Degree Program. POLIJE hopes their experience will contribute to their personal and professional growth while providing them with new knowledge, international perspectives, and valuable experiences to share with the wider POLIJE academic community.
