Fourteen students from the Diploma 4 Informatics Engineering Study Program at Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) have arrived in Malaysia to begin their Joint Degree Program at Management and Science University (MSU). Their arrival marks an important milestone in POLIJE’s international student mobility program and reflects the institution’s commitment to providing students with global academic experiences.

The students departed from Indonesia on August 27, 2026, following the Departure Ceremony held by POLIJE on August 24, 2026. The ceremony served as an official send-off and provided the students with encouragement and preparation before embarking on their international academic journey.

Upon arriving at MSU, the 14 students completed their initial preparations and are now ready to begin their academic activities. They will participate in the Joint Degree Program as part of the academic collaboration between POLIJE and Management and Science University, one of POLIJE’s international partners in Malaysia.

Through the program, the students will experience an international learning environment and broaden their academic perspectives in the field of Informatics Engineering. They are expected to strengthen their technical competencies while gaining exposure to different approaches to education, technology, innovation, and professional development.

In addition to academic activities, studying at MSU will provide the students with opportunities to interact with an international academic community. This experience is expected to enhance their communication skills, independence, adaptability, teamwork, and intercultural competence, which are increasingly important in the global technology industry.

The participation of the 14 students also demonstrates POLIJE’s continued efforts to strengthen internationalization through student mobility and strategic partnerships with overseas universities. The Joint Degree Program with MSU provides a valuable platform for students to gain international exposure while strengthening academic cooperation between the two institutions.

The students are expected to make the most of their time at MSU by actively participating in academic activities and embracing the cultural experiences offered during their stay in Malaysia. They are also encouraged to maintain their academic performance and uphold the reputation of POLIJE throughout the program.

With all 14 students now in Malaysia and ready to begin their studies, POLIJE hopes that the Joint Degree Program at MSU will provide meaningful academic and personal experiences. The students are expected to return with enhanced knowledge, international perspectives, and valuable skills that will contribute to their future careers and further strengthen POLIJE’s international academic community.
