Immigration Office Emphasizes Compliance of Polije International Students’ Stay Permits
Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) hosted a comprehensive immigration briefing on November 19, 2025, led by the Jember Immigration Office. The session explained visa types (C1, E30B) and Stay Permit procedures under the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights (Permenkumham) Number 22 of 2023. The main goal was to ensure foreign students understand their rights and obligations during their studies.
“This session aims to ensure all foreign students understand their rights, obligations, and administrative procedures under Permenkumham Number 22 of 2023 while they study in Indonesia,” explained the Head of Sub-Section for Immigration Status, Yudha Prasetya.
The Immigration Office stressed the importance of data accuracy in visa and Stay Permit applications. Officials warned that overstaying could result in fines or legal action.
“We emphasize the importance of ensuring all submitted information is accurate, and avoiding overstay. Late extensions can result in serious fines or legal action in accordance with applicable regulations,” he asserted.
Students were advised to coordinate with the International Affairs Office (KUI) for extensions and supporting documents. Immigration representatives reaffirmed their commitment to supporting a lawful and smooth academic stay.
“We reiterate our commitment to supporting a lawful and smooth academic stay. We value the cooperation between Polije and the immigration authorities, and our encouragement is for students to utilize the KUI for immigration-related assistance,” he concluded.
