JEMBER – Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan have established a strategic partnership to provide comprehensive social security protection. The initiative aims to create a safe, productive, and protected environment for the entire academic community.
Polije Director Saiful Anwar, S.TP., M.P., welcomed representatives of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan at the Polije Rectorate Building. He emphasized that the safety and protection of everyone on campus remain key priorities for the institution.
Academic and operational activities across Polije’s six campuses involve various occupational risks. Therefore, Polije considers social security protection from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan essential to ensuring the continuity of institutional activities.
“We hope this collaboration will provide students with a greater sense of security while supporting their readiness to enter the industrial workforce,” Saiful Anwar said.
Saiful Anwar also expressed hope that the commitment to protection would be formally and systematically established through technical cooperation agreements. The university aims to extend this protection to academic community activities conducted beyond Jember.
“We hope this commitment can be formalized through an MoU and technical cooperation agreement so that its implementation can be properly coordinated,” Saiful Anwar added.
Meanwhile, Head of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Jember Dadang Komarudin highly appreciated Polije management’s proactive initiative. His institution is ready to expand employment social security coverage for supporting workers across the campus environment.
“This collaboration is a strategic step toward building a vocational education ecosystem that protects its members from occupational risks,” Dadang Komarudin said.
Dadang added that the collaboration will also cover protection for non-civil servant employees and other supporting workers on campus. BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is committed to supporting the development of a productive and sustainably protected campus ecosystem.
“We hope this collaboration will contribute to building a productive and safe vocational education ecosystem,” Dadang Komarudin said.
