Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) has officially partnered with CV Ritme Ajib in the livestock product sector, marking a significant step toward strengthening food supply chains in Jember. The collaboration was inaugurated through the first production run at Polije’s Poultry Slaughterhouse (RPA) on February 1, 2026, aimed at supporting the supply needs of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program in the region.

The partnership demonstrates Polije’s commitment to integrating education, industry, and community development. By collaborating with a private-sector partner, the institution seeks to create a sustainable production ecosystem while contributing to national efforts to improve nutritional access through the MBG program.

Director of Polije, Saiful Anwar, emphasized that the presence of industry within the campus environment provides valuable real-world learning opportunities for students. Through this initiative, students gain direct exposure to modern poultry processing operations and industry-standard practices.

He further explained that the collaboration enables students to practice proper poultry slaughtering procedures that meet hygiene and halal standards. Such hands-on experience is expected to enhance students’ technical competencies and better prepare them for future careers in the livestock and food-processing industries.

According to Budi Prasetyo, the initiative aligns closely with government policies aimed at improving public nutrition through the MBG program. In addition to supporting educational activities, the production facility contributes directly to the provision of quality food ingredients for MBG kitchens across Jember Regency.

Budi expressed hope that the partnership would continue to grow and deliver long-term benefits for students, the academic community, and local residents. He highlighted the importance of maintaining collaboration between educational institutions and industry partners to create broader social and economic impacts.

From the industry side, Benny Firmannadi praised the facilities and services available at Polije’s poultry processing unit. He noted that the slaughterhouse meets industrial standards and provides an excellent environment for production activities, training, and collaborative projects.

The launch of the first production at the Polije Poultry Slaughterhouse represents more than a business partnership. It reflects the institution’s broader vision of combining vocational education, research, and industrial collaboration to support national food security programs. Through this initiative, Polije continues to strengthen its role in supplying quality food products while providing meaningful learning experiences for its students and contributing to the success of the MBG program in Jember.
