Jember, Indonesia – April 29, 2026 – Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) officially strengthened its international partnership with Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (SNRU), Thailand, through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and an Implementation Agreement (IA). The signing ceremony was held at the POLIJE Main Campus on April 29, 2026, marking another milestone in POLIJE's commitment to expanding global academic collaboration.

The ceremony was attended by the management teams and representatives from both institutions. The agreements were signed by the authorized representatives of POLIJE and SNRU, witnessed by faculty members and institutional leaders. The event reflected the shared commitment of both universities to fostering international cooperation in education, research, innovation, and community engagement.

The MoA establishes a framework for long-term institutional collaboration, while the Implementation Agreement outlines concrete activities to be carried out by both institutions. These activities include student and faculty mobility programs, collaborative research, joint academic publications, curriculum development, cultural exchange, and the organization of international seminars and workshops.

Through this partnership, POLIJE aims to provide broader international learning opportunities for its students and academic staff. Student exchange and short-term mobility programs will enable participants to gain intercultural experiences, enhance academic competencies, and strengthen their global perspectives. Faculty members will also benefit from collaborative teaching, research, and professional development initiatives with their counterparts at SNRU.

Speaking during the ceremony, representatives from both institutions emphasized that international collaboration plays a vital role in improving the quality of higher education and preparing graduates to compete in the global workforce.
