Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) held a predeparture agenda for students of the TIF2023 International Class who are preparing to continue their academic journey at Management and Science University (MSU), Malaysia. The activity was organized as part of POLIJE’s preparation and support for students participating in the international joint degree program.

The predeparture session was designed to equip students with essential information and practical preparation before departing for Malaysia. The agenda covered important aspects related to academic activities, student life, administrative requirements, and adaptation to a new international learning environment.

The activity was attended by representatives of POLIJE’s International Office (Kantor Urusan Internasional/KUI), namely Vigo Dewangga, Head of the International Office, and Dian Rizky, Secretary of the International Office. Their participation reflected POLIJE’s commitment to providing comprehensive institutional support for students undertaking international academic programs.

During the session, students received guidance regarding their preparation for studying at MSU. The discussion emphasized the importance of understanding academic expectations, maintaining communication with both institutions, and preparing themselves to participate actively in an international academic environment.

The predeparture agenda also provided an opportunity for students to discuss matters that may arise during their transition from POLIJE to MSU. Students were encouraged to prepare themselves not only academically but also personally and culturally, considering that they will experience a different educational and social environment in Malaysia.

As participants in the TIF2023 International Class, the students are expected to take advantage of their academic mobility at MSU to strengthen their knowledge, technical competencies, communication skills, and international exposure. The experience is also expected to broaden their perspectives and enhance their readiness to compete in an increasingly globalized professional environment.

Through this predeparture program, POLIJE reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening internationalization and providing meaningful global learning opportunities for its students. The International Office plays an important role in facilitating student mobility and ensuring that students are adequately prepared before beginning their academic activities abroad.

The predeparture agenda marked an important step for the TIF2023 International Class students as they prepare to embark on their academic experience at MSU. With adequate preparation and institutional support, the students are expected to represent POLIJE positively while gaining valuable academic, cultural, and international experiences during their study period in Malaysia.
