BONDOWOSO – Students from Politeknik Negeri Jember’s Bondowoso Campus 2 took part in a cross-border educational collaboration through the International Summer Course 2026. Three Polije students—Nasrun Al Amin, Firas Rajwa Adila, and Rivaldo Ibadurahman—actively participated in the academic program with Osaka University, Japan.

The Digital Business Study Program at Polije Bondowoso Campus 2 initiated the strategic collaboration to broaden students’ international perspectives. The organizers held the interactive activities at Cafe Bunga Pelita and Kampung Kopi Bondowoso on Saturday (August 15, 2026).

Meanwhile, the Bondowoso Regency Government, through its Department of Industry, Trade, and MSMEs, warmly welcomed the academic delegation from Japan. The local government worked with local tourism destination managers to provide a memorable cultural experience for the participants.

The international academic program took place following the UNESCO Geopark Revalidation activities in the Bondowoso, Banyuwangi, and Situbondo areas. Therefore, the occasion also provided an opportunity to introduce the region’s potential to an international audience.

Rizky Adhitya Nugroho, S.A.B., M.M., Coordinator of the Digital Business Study Program, emphasized the importance of strengthening international networks for students. He said the program aims to provide global learning experiences relevant to industry needs.

“This cross-border collaboration serves as a strategic foundation for broadening students’ academic perspectives and strengthening their intercultural skills in the global era,” said Rizky Adhitya Nugroho.

The participants took part in a range of activities, from cultural exchange sessions to learning about the art of preparing Bondowoso’s distinctive local coffee. The collaboration provided valuable opportunities for students to develop international communication and intercultural understanding.

“This visit provided a deeper understanding of the potential of Bondowoso’s local coffee products, which have strong appeal among international communities,” Rizky Adhitya Nugroho said.
