Students of Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) Campus 2 Bondowoso successfully harvested Golden Pear melons as part of a practical learning program that integrates agricultural production with agribusiness management. The harvest marked an important achievement for students who had been directly involved in every stage of cultivation, from planting and crop maintenance to harvesting and marketing. The activity reflects Polije’s commitment to vocational education through hands-on learning experiences.

The Golden Pear melon cultivation project was implemented using a Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach, allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in a real agricultural environment. Through this method, students gained practical competencies in horticultural production while developing problem-solving and teamwork skills essential for the agribusiness sector.

Golden Pear melon is known for its attractive golden-yellow skin, crisp texture, and sweet flavor, making it a highly valued horticultural commodity.
