Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) organized an intensive F₀ Validation Training for its Ultra High Temperature (UHT) Teaching Factory (TEFA) on April 13–14, 2026. The program was designed to strengthen the competencies of lecturers and technical staff in managing UHT milk production technology while ensuring compliance with industry-level food safety standards.

The training forms part of Polije’s broader strategy to develop its Teaching Factory ecosystem as a real industrial learning environment. Through direct hands-on practice and technical capacity building, the institution seeks to enhance the quality of its human resources and reinforce the integration of vocational education with industrial operations.

According to Polije Director Saiful Anwar, the UHT production facility represents a highly sophisticated manufacturing system that requires strict operational control. Therefore, food safety, scientific validation, and research-based approaches have become top priorities in the development of the campus-based dairy processing plant.

During the two-day program, participants received comprehensive instruction on F₀ validation procedures, an essential component of thermal processing used to ensure product sterility and safety. The training emphasized the importance of validating sterilization processes to guarantee that dairy products meet professional manufacturing and regulatory standards.

The activity also highlighted Polije’s commitment to maintaining high-quality production standards within its Teaching Factory units. By strengthening technical expertise in UHT processing, the institution aims to ensure that all products manufactured on campus meet stringent food safety requirements and consumer expectations.

Polije’s TEFA Milk facility is equipped with modern industrial-scale technology, including UHT processing systems capable of handling large production volumes. The facility serves not only as a production center but also as a learning laboratory where students gain practical experience in advanced dairy processing technologies.

The validation training further strengthens collaboration between Polije and industry partners by aligning campus production practices with professional manufacturing standards. Through such initiatives, the institution ensures that its teaching factory operations remain relevant to current industrial needs while preparing students and staff for real-world production environments.

By conducting the F₀ Validation Training, Polije continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation, food safety, and vocational excellence. The institution expects that the UHT Teaching Factory will soon operate at full capacity, producing high-quality dairy products while serving as a model for industry-based vocational education in Indonesia.
