Polije Holds 49th Graduation Ceremony, Preparing Job-Ready Graduates
JEMBER – A solemn atmosphere marked the 49th Open Senate Meeting and Graduation Ceremony at Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) on Saturday (August 22, 2026). The additional graduation ceremony officially celebrated graduates from the 2025–2026 academic year.
Polije management encouraged the newly graduated students to move quickly and seize career opportunities. The year-end graduation ceremony provides a strategic opportunity for graduates to enter the workforce.
“We hope the graduates officially recognized today will immediately pursue available job opportunities,” said Wahyu Kurnia Dewanto, Vice Director for Student Affairs and Information Systems at Polije.
During the ceremony, Polije also paid special attention to graduates from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). An earthquake had recently struck areas where several graduates came from.
As part of its social response, Polije prepared assistance for active students from affected areas. The university also opened opportunities to adjust tuition fees, or Single Tuition Fees (UKT), in accordance with applicable regulations.
“This is part of Polije’s commitment to supporting active students affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara,” Wahyu Kurnia Dewanto said.
The graduation ceremony also provided an opportunity to highlight Polije’s strategic development plans. The university is currently preparing to establish its Campus 7 Off-Campus Study Program (PSDKU) in Situbondo Regency.
Polije is considering opening study programs focusing on coffee commodities and information technology. The planned expansion of educational facilities has received a positive response from the local government.
“PSDKU Situbondo is targeted to launch in 2027,” Wahyu Kurnia Dewanto said regarding Polije’s expansion plan.
The graduation ceremony concluded with the presentation of diplomas and a group photo with members of the Polije Senate. Following the event, Polije is preparing to hold its 50th regular graduation ceremony at the end of 2026.
