POLIJE Holds Pre-Departure Meeting for International Regular Students of Academic Year 2026/2027
The International Office of Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) conducted a pre-departure meeting for international regular students of the Academic Year 2026/2027 as part of the institution’s commitment to ensuring a smooth transition for incoming students. The meeting was attended by international students from various countries who will begin their studies at POLIJE in the upcoming academic year.
The session was organized to provide comprehensive information regarding academic regulations, immigration requirements, campus facilities, and student support services. Through this activity, POLIJE aims to help students prepare themselves academically, socially, and culturally before their arrival in Indonesia.
During the meeting, representatives from the International Office welcomed the students and introduced POLIJE as one of Indonesia’s leading vocational higher education institutions. The students were also given an overview of the university’s academic environment, practical learning approach, and opportunities for international engagement.
One of the main topics discussed was the visa and immigration process. Students received detailed guidance on the necessary documents, arrival procedures, and residence permit requirements to ensure compliance with Indonesian regulations. The International Office emphasized the importance of completing all administrative requirements before departure.
In addition, participants were introduced to various support services available at POLIJE, including academic advising, student organizations, healthcare facilities, and accommodation assistance. These services are designed to help international students adapt quickly and enjoy a productive learning experience during their studies.
The meeting also covered practical information related to life in Jember, such as local culture, transportation, climate, and daily living arrangements. Students were encouraged to embrace cultural diversity and actively engage with both local and international communities on campus.
An interactive question-and-answer session allowed students to raise concerns and seek clarification regarding their study plans and preparations. The discussion fostered a positive atmosphere and strengthened communication between the students and the International Office team.
Through this pre-departure meeting, POLIJE reaffirmed its commitment to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for international students. The institution looks forward to welcoming the new cohort of international regular students and supporting their academic and personal growth throughout their educational journey in Indonesia.
