Three international students from Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) Mohamedalghali, Mohammed Alnour, and Haji Shaban actively participated in the FESTORIA 2025 international cultural event, hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the University of Jember (UNEJ) on Sunday (23/11/2025).

These three students, representing Sudan and Tanzania, added an international dimension to the multicultural celebration, which was attended by 150 participants.

The event began with traditional performances and an opening ceremony. During the main session, FESTORIA featured a talk show discussing international mobility experiences, aiming to inspire participants to explore global academic opportunities and understand the importance of cultural exchange.

In the question-and-answer session, the Polije students shared their experiences studying in Indonesia. Mohamedalghali, for example, conveyed his admiration for the local culture and community.

“I am very impressed by the warmth of Indonesian hospitality,” he said.

On the other hand, Mohammed Alnour highlighted the academic benefits of the cultural exchange.

“Studying in a cross-culturally rich academic environment is a very valuable experience,” added Mohammed Alnour.

Meanwhile, Haji Shaban expressed his enthusiasm for being active in future cultural activities.

“I hope I can continue to join cultural activities during my time in Jember,” said Haji Shaban.

Their involvement continued through to the closing session and the “Dancing Together and Festival,” which celebrated diversity. This active participation demonstrates Polije’s strong commitment to supporting international student involvement in regional academic events, while also affirming Polije’s role in collaboration and cultural engagement in East Java.
