11th May 2026, Choirul Huda from Politeknik Negeri Jember delivered a guest lecture at Management and Science University as part of the institution’s ongoing international academic collaboration program. The lecture brought together students and academic staff in the field of computer science and information technology.

The guest lecture was titled “Computer Science: From Fundamentals to Intelligent Systems” and discussed the development of computer science from basic concepts to modern intelligent technologies. During the session, Choirul Huda introduced students to various important areas in computer science, including algorithms, data structures, software systems, and artificial intelligence.

In his presentation, he explained how computer science plays an important role in modern society and industrial transformation. The lecture highlighted the impact of digital technology in healthcare, education, and Industry 4.0 through automation, data-driven decision making, and smart systems.

The session also covered several core areas of computer science such as software engineering, computer networks, database systems, human-computer interaction, and artificial intelligence. Students were introduced to concepts related to machine learning, IoT, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies that are shaping the future of the digital world.

One of the highlights of the lecture was the discussion of a real-world case study about a smart attendance system using face recognition technology. Through this example, participants gained practical insights into how artificial intelligence can be implemented to solve real-life problems efficiently and effectively.

In addition, Choirul Huda encouraged students to continuously improve their technical and analytical skills in facing future technological challenges. The lecture emphasized the importance of programming, critical thinking, data analysis, and system design skills in preparing students for careers in the rapidly evolving technology industry.

Choirul Huda stated that the guest lecture served as an important platform to strengthen academic collaboration and international knowledge exchange between the two institutions. “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with students at MSU. Computer science continues to evolve rapidly, and international academic collaboration is important to prepare students for global technological challenges,” he said.

He also expressed hope that the activity would open wider opportunities for future collaboration between Politeknik Negeri Jember and Management and Science University, particularly in research, student mobility, and academic exchange programs. The guest lecture concluded with an interactive discussion session where students actively shared ideas and asked questions related to intelligent systems and future technology trends.
