POLIJE Opens Registration for Darmasiswa RI Program Academic Year 2026/2027
Politeknik Negeri Jember has officially opened registration for the Darmasiswa Republic of Indonesia (RI) Program for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. The program reflects POLIJE’s commitment to supporting the internationalization of vocational higher education while promoting Indonesian language and culture to the global community.
The Darmasiswa RI Program is a non-degree scholarship program organized by the Government of Indonesia for international students from countries that maintain diplomatic relations with Indonesia. Through this program, participants will study Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA), Indonesian arts and culture, and engage in various academic and cultural activities during their stay in Indonesia.
As one of the host institutions for the Darmasiswa Program since 2018, POLIJE continues to provide meaningful learning experiences for international students. The program is designed not only to improve participants’ Indonesian language proficiency but also to strengthen intercultural understanding and global networking opportunities.
During the program, participants at POLIJE will undertake a one-year study period lasting approximately 10–12 months. In addition to Indonesian language classes, students will be introduced to local Javanese and Indonesian culture through cultural workshops, educational visits, and international student activities.
International students participating in the program will also receive several supporting facilities, including monthly living allowances, book and arrival support, health insurance, and academic assistance from the host institution. POLIJE provides a comfortable and inclusive academic environment to help students adapt to life in Jember.
Applicants must meet several general requirements, including being non-Indonesian citizens aged at least 18 years old, graduates of secondary education or equivalent, possessing English language proficiency, being physically and mentally healthy, and having a strong interest in Indonesian language and culture. Applicants must also not be currently studying or working in Indonesia.
Registration for the Darmasiswa RI Program is conducted online through the official website at darmasiswa.kemdikdasmen.go.id. According to the announcement, the registration period will open in May 2026 and close in June 2026. The selection results are expected to be announced between June and July 2026, while participants are scheduled to arrive in August 2026.
Through the opening of the Darmasiswa RI Program for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, POLIJE aims to further strengthen international collaboration and cultural diplomacy through education. The presence of international students on campus is also expected to create a more global, inclusive, and multicultural academic atmosphere.
