SIDOARJO – Students from Politeknik Negeri Jember’s (Polije) Campus 4 Sidoarjo achieved a major national accomplishment by winning second place at the National Business Plan Competition Agribusiness Fair 2026.

The Polije team competed in the Sustainable Food & Waste Management category with an innovative product called SeaBag, a Sustainable Food Packaging concept based on the Circular Economy.

The team consisted of three students: Ainur Rahmawati, Ecca Agustina Pratiwi, and Nadin Cahya Rahmadhanti. Together, they developed an environmentally friendly packaging solution that impressed the judging panel.

Polije’s Public Relations Office shared the achievement through the university’s official social media channels. University management also expressed its appreciation for the students’ commitment to innovation and applied research.

The achievement highlights the quality of applied research developed by students at Polije’s Campus 4 Sidoarjo. Their SeaBag innovation demonstrates how vocational students can contribute to sustainable food waste management.

The accomplishment is expected to further motivate Polije students to develop innovative solutions. The university continues to support student competency development through academic and scientific competitions.

The achievement also strengthens Polije’s reputation as a leading vocational higher education institution committed to creating positive environmental impact. Polije hopes the innovative business concept can eventually develop into a commercially viable product.
