Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) has achieved a significant milestone in advancing international vocational education through its impactful participation in the Indonesia–China Vocational Program. The achievement reflects not merely recognition, but tangible progress in building a globally connected, industry-driven learning ecosystem.

The collaboration has successfully brought together Polije, Jiangsu Agri-Animal Husbandry Vocational College, and PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia in a strategic partnership that integrates education, research, and industry practices. This synergy has resulted in concrete outcomes, particularly in strengthening applied learning within the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors.

One of the most notable achievements is the implementation of an industry-based curriculum that aligns closely with real-world needs. Through joint curriculum development and collaborative teaching approaches, Polije ensures that its students are equipped with practical competencies and up-to-date knowledge relevant to global industry standards.

The program has also significantly expanded international exposure for students. Opportunities such as student exchanges, internships, and collaborative projects with Chinese partners have enabled learners to develop not only technical skills but also intercultural communication and global perspectives—essential competencies in today’s workforce.

In addition to student development, the initiative has enhanced faculty capacity through academic exchanges, joint research, and training programs. Lecturers at Polije are now more engaged in international academic networks, contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching quality and innovation in vocational education.

Another key outcome lies in the strengthened engagement with industry. The involvement of PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia ensures that learning activities are directly connected to industrial practices, allowing students to gain hands-on experience and better understand the demands of the professional world.

According to Agung Wahyono, Ph.D., Vice Director of Collaboration and Public Relations Affairs at Polije, this achievement represents a strategic step in transforming vocational education. “This collaboration is not just about partnership, but about creating real impact—preparing our students to compete and contribute at the global level through strong industry-linked education,” he stated.

Moving forward, Polije aims to further expand this collaboration by involving more global partners and increasing the scale of joint programs. With this achievement, Polije continues to position itself as a forward-looking institution committed to producing skilled, adaptive, and globally competitive graduates.
