POLIJE Strengthens International Academic Partnership through Visit to MSU Malaysia
11th May 2026, Politeknik Negeri Jember continues to expand its international academic collaboration through a strategic visit conducted by Choirul Huda to Management and Science University. The visit focused on exploring several potential collaborations in research and academic mobility between the two institutions.
During the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities for joint research collaboration in various interdisciplinary fields, particularly in information technology, digital innovation, smart systems, and applied sciences. The discussion aimed to create sustainable research partnerships that could contribute to academic development and global innovation.
In addition to collaborative research, the meeting also highlighted potential cooperation in international research grants. Representatives from both institutions exchanged information regarding possible funding schemes, collaborative proposal development, and strategies to increase the competitiveness of international research projects involving lecturers and researchers from Indonesia and Malaysia.
Another important topic discussed during the visit was the implementation of a Visiting Lecturer program. Through this initiative, lecturers from both institutions are expected to participate in academic activities such as guest lectures, seminars, workshops, and collaborative teaching sessions to enrich international learning experiences for students and academic staff.
The discussion further explored opportunities for a Staff Exchange program aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and professional development. Through this program, administrative and academic staff from both institutions would have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, best practices, and experiences related to international education management and academic services.
The visit also became an important momentum to strengthen the long-standing relationship between Politeknik Negeri Jember and Management and Science University. Both institutions expressed their commitment to continuously fostering international cooperation that supports academic excellence, innovation, and global engagement.
Choirul Huda stated that the discussion opened many opportunities for future collaboration between the two institutions. “This meeting becomes an important step to strengthen the international partnership between POLIJE and MSU. We discussed many potential collaborations, especially in research activities, international grants, visiting lecturer programs, and staff exchange initiatives that can provide significant benefits for both institutions,” he said.
He also emphasized that international collaboration plays an important role in improving academic quality and expanding global networks. “We hope this collaboration will not only enhance research productivity, but also create broader international exposure for lecturers, staff, and students of POLIJE in the future,” added Choirul Huda.
