JEMBER – The UHT Teaching Factory (TEFA) at Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije) once again served as a collaboration hub between vocational higher education and industry. The campus facilitated a product trial by PT NJU on Tuesday (September 1, 2026), following a previous briefing and product trial planning session.
The Polije UHT TEFA team worked with six industry representatives during the activity. The collaboration strengthened the development and testing of milk-based food products.
“We utilized the modern processing facilities at the Polije UHT TEFA to ensure that every stage of the trial was carried out precisely,” said PT NJU representative Shadiqy Artib.
Technicians and academics closely monitored each stage of the processing. The team also tested process parameters based on the agreed technical specifications.
“This collaboration provided valuable technical observations for evaluating and further developing the product’s characteristics,” said Rinanto Pradana from R&D TABURA.
The collaboration also gave the campus team an opportunity to address real-world industry needs. Meanwhile, industry partners utilized the campus facilities as a platform for advanced food technology research.
“The facility demonstrates the readiness of the Polije UHT TEFA to serve as a modern industry-standard testing center,” said TABURA Technician Listiono.
The activity also involved Wahyu Nugroho, Deny Hastomo, and Chaerul Huda. The initiative reinforces Polije’s commitment to developing its TEFA as a Training Centre, Research Centre, and Service Centre.
