PT Nuart Jidoka Utama, based in Bekasi, has established a strategic collaboration with Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) to accelerate the development of Ultra High Temperature (UHT) liquid coconut milk technology. Working alongside PT Tabura Gentri Nusantara, the company selected POLIJE as its product testing partner, recognizing the university's advanced Teaching Factory (TEFA) facilities and expertise in food processing technology.

During a visit to the POLIJE campus, representatives from PT Nuart Jidoka Utama observed the university's industrial-scale food processing facilities and discussed the next phase of product development. According to Shadiqy, Trainer at PT Nuart Jidoka Utama, the company's research team has successfully completed the laboratory formulation of the liquid coconut milk and is now preparing to validate the formula on a UHT production line to ensure product quality, safety, and stability under industrial conditions.

The collaboration demonstrates industry confidence in POLIJE's Teaching Factory ecosystem, which provides production facilities that closely replicate real industrial environments. PT Nuart expressed its appreciation for the university's modern equipment, technical capabilities, and collaborative approach, considering these strengths essential for supporting product trials and scaling innovations toward commercial production.

Beyond product development, the partnership also focuses on strengthening Indonesia's domestic food processing technology. PT Nuart plans to involve POLIJE students directly in the design, development, and manufacturing of UHT processing machines, enabling them to gain practical engineering experience while contributing to the advancement of locally developed food-processing equipment.

Representing POLIJE, Dr. Yossi Wibisono, Vice Director for Finance and General Affairs, welcomed the collaboration as a strong example of vocational education working hand in hand with industry. He emphasized that the Teaching Factory was established to address industrial needs while simultaneously enhancing students' competencies through authentic industrial experiences integrated into the academic curriculum.

Through the partnership, students will participate in various stages of the innovation process, including process validation, standard operating procedure (SOP) development, product testing, and collaborative research. These activities provide valuable hands-on learning opportunities that strengthen technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and industry readiness—key competencies required in today's food manufacturing sector.

The collaboration also reflects POLIJE's commitment to promoting industry-based applied research and accelerating innovation in Indonesia's food processing sector. By integrating academic expertise with industrial challenges, both institutions aim to develop commercially viable products while supporting the advancement of national food technology and reducing dependence on imported processing systems.

Moving forward, PT Nuart and POLIJE will continue with production trials, product evaluation, and further technological refinement. The partnership is expected to strengthen Indonesia's capacity in UHT food processing, encourage innovation through academia–industry collaboration, and produce graduates equipped with practical skills and real-world experience to meet the evolving needs of the food manufacturing industry.
